Think ahead. Build your chain. Beat the leaderboard.
Chain Architect is a skill-based competitive game operated by KG ARMY NPC ("KG ARMY").
Players compete to achieve the highest possible score through their gameplay decisions, strategic planning and ability to manage the game board.
The outcome of a player's competition attempt is determined by their gameplay performance and the score achieved during that attempt.
HOW TO PLAY
Each game begins with a 4 × 4 game board containing two starting blocks.
The objective is to combine matching numbered blocks to create higher-value blocks and achieve the highest possible score.
When two matching numbers are combined:
- ▸2 + 2 = 4
- ▸4 + 4 = 8
- ▸8 + 8 = 16
And so on.
As the game progresses, new blocks are added to the board according to the game's programmed rules.
Players must decide where and when to move blocks, combine numbers and manage the limited space available on the board.
The game ends when no valid moves remain.
SKILL DETERMINES PERFORMANCE
Chain Architect is designed so that player performance depends on skill, decision-making and strategy.
Players can influence their results through factors including:
- ▸Planning combinations;
- ▸Choosing which blocks to move;
- ▸Selecting where blocks should be positioned;
- ▸Creating and maintaining chains;
- ▸Managing available board space;
- ▸Deciding when and where to combine blocks;
- ▸Anticipating future moves;
- ▸Protecting valuable combinations;
- ▸Avoiding moves that unnecessarily restrict future options;
- ▸Recognising opportunities to create higher-value combinations; and
- ▸Adapting strategy as the board develops.
The player controls the decisions made during gameplay.
The objective is not simply to make combinations. The objective is to make the right combinations at the right time.
SKILL-BASED COMPETITION
Chain Architect is intended to operate as a skill-based competition.
A player's result is determined by their gameplay performance and the score achieved during their attempt.
KG ARMY does not select winners through a random draw, lottery or random selection process.
The applicable winner is determined by the qualifying score achieved through gameplay, subject to these Competition Rules and the applicable Terms and Conditions.
ENTERING THE COMPETITION
Eligible players may enter Chain Architect through the official KG ARMY platform.
Entry fee
R25 per entry.
Each paid entry provides the player with one competition attempt.
A player may purchase multiple entries, subject to the applicable daily attempt limit.
Each entry is treated as a separate attempt.
DAILY ATTEMPT LIMIT
A player may play one attempt per day.
The applicable daily attempt period will be determined by the KG ARMY platform.
Purchasing multiple entries does not allow a player to bypass the applicable daily attempt restriction.
KG ARMY may use account, telephone number, verification, payment and technical information to enforce entry and attempt limits.
YOUR SCORE
Your score is determined by your performance during your game.
Scores are calculated automatically by the Chain Architect game system according to its programmed scoring rules.
The scoring system may take into account factors including:
- ▸Successful combinations;
- ▸The value of combinations created;
- ▸Streaks;
- ▸Game progression; and
- ▸Other scoring mechanics built into the game.
The score recorded by the KG ARMY platform will be the official score for competition purposes, subject to the verification and dispute procedures contained in the applicable Terms and Conditions.
IMPROVING YOUR SCORE
If you play multiple paid entries, you may attempt to improve your previous score.
Where a new attempt produces a higher score than your previously recorded score, the higher score may replace your previous score for leaderboard and competition purposes.
A lower score will not replace a higher recorded score.
Only the score recognised and recorded by the KG ARMY platform will be considered an official competition score.
THE LEADERBOARD
Players compete against one another through the official Chain Architect leaderboard.
The leaderboard may display:
- ▸Player callsign;
- ▸Score;
- ▸Ranking; and
- ▸Other competition-related information.
Players are responsible for selecting a callsign that does not contain private or sensitive information they do not wish to make public.
DETERMINING THE WINNER
The winner of an applicable competition period will be the eligible player who achieves the qualifying highest score in accordance with the applicable Competition Rules.
The winner is determined by the recorded gameplay score and is not selected through a random draw or lottery.
Where applicable, the competition may have:
- ▸A first-place prize;
- ▸Additional ranked prizes;
- ▸Special prizes; or
- ▸Other prizes specified on the relevant competition page.
The specific prize or prizes available for a particular competition will be clearly communicated by KG ARMY before or during the applicable competition period.
TIED SCORES
If two or more eligible players achieve the same qualifying score, the tie will be resolved using the applicable skill-based tie-breaking method specified for that competition.
Where supported by the Chain Architect platform, KG ARMY may use recorded gameplay performance or other objectively recorded game information to determine the tie-break.
KG ARMY will not resolve a qualifying tie through a random draw where a skill-based or objectively recorded gameplay tie-break is applicable.
The applicable tie-breaking method will be communicated in the relevant competition rules.
PRIZES
Prizes will be specified on the relevant competition or prize announcement page.
Prizes may include physical goods, technology, gaming equipment, vouchers, cash or other prizes, subject to the applicable competition rules.
KG ARMY reserves the right to substitute a prize with another prize of equal or greater value where the advertised prize becomes unavailable, subject to applicable law and the applicable competition terms.
A prize may not be exchanged for cash unless KG ARMY expressly states otherwise.
